During 2016 the Foundation has supported talented young persons through scholarships, awards and training. Supporting such talent is one of our principal objectives.

8 IBStage Barcelona- Banco Sabadell Foundation scholarships in search of talent

From 8th to 28th August, IBStage will be holding the International Programme of dance that is held every year in Barcelona, in which over 30 highly prestigious international teachers, 14 ballet dancers from some of the best ballet companies in the world and over 120 extremely talented students who want to become professionally involved in classical dance come together.

The Foundation awards 10 scholarships for the Pre-University Competition of the International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona

The top 10 selected candidates have been granted a scholarship for 100% of the first year fees to study any degree offered by UIC Barcelona for the next academic year. The competition seeks to reward academic excellence and values students’ skills in terms of structuring content, analytical capabilities, oral expression and achievement of targets.

A lot of talent in Imagine 7 Islands, ‘Zeven’ the app for travellers

Imagine 7 Islands, has come to a close after 12 dreamers, divided into 4 teams, travelled to 7 Canary Islands on a trip lasting 15 days. The dreamers worked on projects related to the tourism industry, generating disruptive ideas. The dreamers were advised by 15 mentors and experts who accompanied them throughout their journey, organised by Imagine Creativity Centre, in collaboration with Banco Sabadell Foundation.

Team work to train young people in the health sector

Several young people have participated in a team building week at the third edition of the d·HEALTH Barcelona masters program with the aim of training themselves to become health experts. The program is an initiative of Biocat, in collaboration with Banco Sabadell Foundation to promote talent.

The young talent heading for Washington

As from 5 February, three young graduates will spend a training period of six months at the headquarters of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington thanks to scholarships given by the Banc Sabadell Foundation and Oviedo University. This is the thirteenth year such scholarships have been given to students in their last year and recent graduates which, since it started in 2003, has provided 51 young people with scholarships.

‘La Kompanyia Lliure’ opens a session to select actors

During December, the Teatre Lliure opens a session for the selection of new actors and actresses who aspire to form part of the La Kompanyia Lliure for three seasons. Applications can be sent in until 30 December for an initial selection of 200 who will be privately called to a first audition. The aim is to offer an opportunity to all the actors who meet the requirements to form part of La Kompanyia Lliure, comprising young people in the process of becoming professionals.

‘The future belongs to the brave’

Up to 40 students have taken part in November in the ‘Journey to Talent’ program organised by the Technology Institute of the UCAM with the support of the Banco Sabadell Foundation.
