Presentation of the Imagine Silicon Valley 2019 scholarship for EDEM Business School students

12 young people participated in the Imagine programme, one of whom is a student at the EDEM Business School, participating thanks to the scholarship granted by the Foundation. It is a programme which takes place in the United States, in which the 12 young people will form multidisciplinary teams in which they work, share and develop ideas to offer a solution to four challenges created by Audi, Otsuka, Catalunya Empren and Banco Sabadell Foundation.

During 3 weeks in July, and through the Lombard Method, a learning process based on entrepreneurial spirit and disruptive innovation, the participants visit companies such as Twitter, Facebook or Airbnb and will learn first-hand from experts at Google, Stanford or HP, amongst other institutions.

Scholarship to four EDEM students

In addition to the Imagine scholarship, we have renewed the collaboration agreement between Banco Sabadell Foundation and EDEM, with the objective of promoting, sharing and expanding entrepreneurship through different courses and programmes, as well as supporting the talent of the youngest people and accompanying them in their academic training.

In virtue of the agreement, four students from the EDEM University Centre have obtained a full scholarship from the Banco Sabadell Foundation. Specifically, the beneficiaries are currently students for the 2018-2019 academic year, two of which are Junior Full-Time MBA, one student is studying for a Degree in Business Administration for Entrepreneurs and one is studying a Degree in Engineering and Business Management.

Miquel Molins, chair of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, has highlighted the value of these types of scholarships: “We believe that it is fundamental to investment in the training of young talent as this is the key to progress in this society. Formalise, for another year, this agreement with EDEM is a great opportunity for young people who are about to start their professional journey. An agreement with which we are very satisfied due to the great work being carried out by EDEM”.
