Residencies for creative and collaborative projects for digital technologies

Medialab-Prado, in collaboration with the Banco Sabadell Foundation, is launching an open call for projects to be developed during a three-week residency.

The aim of these residencies is to foster the dissemination and development of open-source programming and physical computing tools for creative uses, through projects based on collaborative processes and collective action. The deadline for proposals is April 10th 2016.

Project profiles

The projects selected will experiment in a creative manner with any of the following technologies: hardware and creative electronics, clothing as an interface, application of programmable and non-programmable electronic devices, creation of electronic interfaces based on the biological processes of microorganisms (biosensors), creative biological experimentation, development of open-source systems and networks of sensors to monitor weather, air, land, plants, waste, etc., among others.

Projects submitted will be developed at least partially in open workshops with interested users, to which end a public call will be launched once projects have been selected. The projects developed will be presented to the public after the residency has been completed.
