Three young students from the University of Oviedo will be joining, from today, 6th March, different departments of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) which is headquartered in Washington, thanks to the internship programme convened by the University in collaboration with Banco Sabadell Foundation. With the incorporation of these 3 young people, a total of 57 people have been able to benefit from this internship programme.

The scholarships were awarded this Thursday, 2nd March, at the Edificio Histórico de la Universidad de Oviedo, by the Rector of the institution-Santiago García Granda, and the Managing Director of Sabadell Herrero-Pablo Junceda.

The call of these IDB Scholarships, which has now reached its fourteenth edition, is aimed at final year students or graduates who have graduated from the University of Oviedo during the last 3 years in speciality subjects required in each call-mainly the social-legal area. These scholarships are aimed at people who wish to gain experience in the administration and operations at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. as well as getting to know its policies, administrative rules and procedures.
