We strengthen our commitment to science

We continue to support the activities of the BIST Foundation since its inception in 2015, an institution for the scientific cooperation between seven pioneering research centres recognised in their respective scientific fields, ranging from the study of subatomic particles to biomedical research.

BIST's mission is to drive the potential of its community, comprised of over 2,500 professionals, promoting multidisciplinary research to find imaginative solutions to complex problems, facilitating the professional development of young researchers using a comprehensive approach and paying attention to the existing gender gap, as well as maximising the impact of research and training activities in society.

In 2022, we also supported the Metastasis Challenge, a project from IRB Barcelona with a view to raising awareness in society of the need to promote research to stop the metastasis of various types of cancer.
