Culture through photography

We also promote culture through photography, supporting the Foto Colectania Foundation with the aim of disseminating photography and making it known in the social, artistic and educational spheres of our country. Some of these exhibitions in which we participated as main contributor include Martín Chami and his colleagues, Chema Madoz-Helena Almeida and Carrie Mae Weems.

To supplement the exhibition projects, the Foto Colectania Foundation takes on the challenge of detecting new roles and identities that emerge in the world of photography in order to act as a centre from where to activate thought and discussion processes, including the online project CORRESPONDENCE, which wants to reflect on the relevance that photography has in contemporary visual culture, without losing sight of the historic perspective and its original contexts of creation and dissemination. As part of this programme, Foto Colectania invites internationally prominent photographers to choose another person to have a discussion through an online mail exchange that is published on the website every 15 days.
