Schubertíada

The Schubertíada is a unique festival due to its programme, which revolves around the figure of Franz Schubert, poetic songs and chamber music, and his commitment to young talent that sees culture as a tool for transformation and for the creation of knowledge.

The festival has its focal point in the Canónica de Sant Maria de Vilabertran, in Girona, but it also takes place in the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, in the Basílica de Castelló d'Empúries (Girona), in Valdegovía (Álava) and in Cantabria. The Franz Schubert Association wants to offer a venue to showcase new artists and improve their professional career, and that is why it has launched the Lied the future programme, in order to provide a pedagogical and professional experience to participants, focused not only as a training proposal but mainly as a professional learning project with the support of educationalists and renowned figures in the world of Lied, which ends with the debut of young artists as part of Schubertíada.
