La Casa Encendida will be exhibiting the winning projects of Generation 2020, organised by the Montemadrid Foundation. It is aimed at artists under the age of 35.
On the jury this year were Lisette Lagnado, curator of the 11th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art; Fernando Pérez, director of Azkuna Zentroa Alhóndiga Bilbao; and Marta Rincón, scheduling manager at Acción Cultural Española (AC/E).
The eight selected artists and their projects are: Elisa Celda with O arrais do mar; Miguel Marina with Celada; Gala Knörr with Good Bad Not Evil; Claudia Rebeca Lorenzo with Txukela; Oier Iruretagoiena with Paisaje sin mundo (mural); Nora Silva with No Fall Games; Cristina Mejías with La máquina de Macedonio and Javier Arbizu with Knee-deep.
