#YoCreoTalento – ‘Joan Guinjoan Award for young composers’ with ESMUC, ‘Habitácola Award’, ‘Laus Aporta Banco Sabadell Foundation Award’ at FADfest

Young composers

The jury of the sixteenth edition of the Joan Guinjoan international award for your composers, organised by the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC) has decided to give the award to the piece ‘Threads’, by Czech composer Otto Wanke. He wrote the piece inspired by the artistic work of Italian futurist painter Gerardo Dottori.

82 composers of 26 different nationalities (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Colombia, US, Mexico, Korea, and others) were candidates in this year’s edition.

Award for design, creativity and architecture

Once again this year, Barcelona is hosting FADfest, the Art and Design Festival, to show you the latest proposals from a number of artistic fields, including architecture, graphic design, publicity, industrial design, art and fashion, through various exhibitions, workshops, prizes, seminars, and much more.

The Foundation is a supporter of the Habitácola Awards, promoted by Arquinfad, aimed at students in order to raise awareness of the importance of being creative and socially responsible by supporting new initiatives. The theme of this year’s thirtieth edition is to reflect on reading spaces and to promote reading in public spaces. The winning projects will be selected on Thursday 8th June.

Another prize that we support is the Laus Aporta Banco Sabadell Foundation Award, which aims to give more visibility to the contribution of design to society through projects that have successfully used visual communication channels to have a positive social impact. The award ceremony will take place on Friday 8th June during the ‘Nit Laus’.
