After eleven years the Banco Sabadell Foundation award for Biomedical Research has become of the reference awards in the field of biomedicine. The aim is to encourage and recognise the work of young Spanish researchers in the fields of biomedicine and health sciences.
Doctor Xavier Trepat, last year’s award winner says that “this award is recognition from society and a fantastic opportunity to talk about the science that happens in laboratories”.
The Foundation is also opening a call to help pre-doctoral students. Specifically, there are 15 research grants designed to promote the development of scientific work in the fields of economic, business, legal and social knowledge. The grants can be applied for by all young, aspiring pre-doctoral students of Spanish nationality, who are in writing their doctoral thesis in any Spanish or foreign university. The aim of these grants is to promote and develop scientific work or visits at universities or other Spanish or foreign research centres.
