During 2016 the Foundation has supported talented young persons through scholarships, awards and training. Supporting such talent is one of our principal objectives.

From 8th to 28th August, IBStage will be holding the International Programme of dance that is held every year in Barcelona, in which over 30 highly prestigious international teachers, 14 ballet dancers from some of the best ballet companies in the world and over 120 extremely talented students who want to become professionally involved in classical dance come together.

Sampler Series, new music programme

The second edition of Sampler Series will comprise up to 14 concerts, with new music streams through improvisation and electronic instruments. This is a different sound experience in Barcelona, which gives you a chance to discover creative and unique melodies.

The Foundation awards 10 scholarships for the Pre-University Competition of the International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona

The top 10 selected candidates have been granted a scholarship for 100% of the first year fees to study any degree offered by UIC Barcelona for the next academic year. The competition seeks to reward academic excellence and values students’ skills in terms of structuring content, analytical capabilities, oral expression and achievement of targets.

Open call for the III Dummy Award Banco Sabadell Fundación

For the third consecutive year, the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, with the collaboration of the Banco Sabadell Foundation (among other smaller collaborators), has issued the open call for entries for the third annual photobook award: DOCField Dummy Award Banco Sabadell Foundation. This award recognises and rewards editorial publishing projects and their authors, and gives visibility to new editorial formats which, together with expositions and multi-media formats, are playing a crucial role in the dissemination of authors’ works.

‘Journey to talent’ using dynamic training workshops to identify skills, interests and values

The ‘Journey to talent’ programme, promoted by UCAM (Institute of Technology of Murcia) with the collaboration of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, brings to an end its fourth edition. This project aims to provide guidance to university graduates in the world of work by providing tools that allow them to identify their goals and objectives and to devise a plan on how to look for employment.

The Banco Sabadell Foundation collaborates with Viaje al Talento (‘Journey to Talent’), to provide techniques and tools for finding work

A total of 100 students from the University Católica de Murcia will take part in the Viaje al Talento programme taking place over four weeks, promoted by the Institute of Technology of Murcia (‘UCAM’ or Instituto Tecnológico de Murcia) with support from the Banco Sabadell Foundation. This initiative helps young people to set professional goals and objectives and to devise a plan on how to look for employment.

Team work to train young people in the health sector

Several young people have participated in a team building week at the third edition of the d·HEALTH Barcelona masters program with the aim of training themselves to become health experts. The program is an initiative of Biocat, in collaboration with Banco Sabadell Foundation to promote talent.

The young talent heading for Washington

As from 5 February, three young graduates will spend a training period of six months at the headquarters of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington thanks to scholarships given by the Banc Sabadell Foundation and Oviedo University. This is the thirteenth year such scholarships have been given to students in their last year and recent graduates which, since it started in 2003, has provided 51 young people with scholarships.

Kilometres of experiences and dreams in the Transpirenaica Social Solidaria

Expectations, dreams and the desire to excel. This is the essence of the Transpirenaica Social Solidaria in which the third edition has seen the participation of 300 young people of different nationalities but all with the same aim: Share and learn from their experiences, enjoy nature and discover people who have helped them to set their goals, both personal and professional.

Art<35 bs/2015, a bridge between young creators and the professional art circuit

Young people, artistic talent and emerging creation are the bases that make up the sample of works at the eighth edition of Art<35 BS/2015. The works, within the disciplines of photography and painting are built around a common narrative: The passage of time, the empty spaces and the marks society leaves on them; and each shows a unique vision which is particular to the author. The exhibition opened this Wednesday 3rd and can be seen until 26 September at the Galería Trama and Sala Parés, in Barcelona.

800 km, 42 days, 300 young people

The Banco Sabadell Foundation is participating in the third Transpirenaica Social Solidaria. A path that started last 13 June and which has crossed a large part of the Pyrenees, through the Basque Country, Navarre, Aragón, Andorra and Catalonia.
