Schedule for the weekend of 16 March: eleven cultural proposals

-‘El temps que estiguem junts’ is the new play bringing together the members of Kompanyia Lliure on the Teatre Lliure de Montjuic stage, in Barcelona. Last weekend to watch it, until this Sunday

-‘MOT Literature Festival’, the literature festival, which this year, reflects on the commitment of literature based on real-life experiences under the slogan ‘Literatura encarnada’. Until 24 March in Girona and Olot.

-‘Women who transform the world’, a meeting which brings together women who have contributed to transforming the world and have made valuable contributions in the social and cultural environment with the objective of sharing their work and commitment and creating a space for reflection and debate open to all of society .

-‘PhotoAlicante’, the international photography festival proposes exhibitions, urban interventions, workshops, shows…in different areas of Alicante.. Until 2nd April

-‘Big Bang Data’ arrives in Boston, after stopping in Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, London, Singapore and Prague. You can visit it at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology until 30 March. It is an exhibition which reflects on how the explosion of information is transforming the world.

Until8 April the Niemeyer Centre will be home to the largest everexhibition to date of Francis Bacon’s drawings. For the first time ever, 73 pieces of art by the Irish painter will be exhibited.

Después del fin del mundo’ at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB) is hosting eight immersive installations by contemporary creators to reflect on the present and the future of the climate change crisis.

-‘Beehave’, an exhibition which reflects on the role of bees through installations and works by contemporary artists. This exhibition can be visited at Fundació Joan Miró.

-‘La eclosión de la abstracción’ brings together almost 150 works from the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno Collection, with the objective of analysing the abstract artistic practices developed from the post-war era up until today. This exhibition can be visited until 16 September.

-‘Pregon desig’, the exhibition by artist Miquel Barceló which pays tribute to Josep Palau, on the occasion of Año Palau i Fabre. You can visit until September at the poet’s foundation, in Caldes d’Estrac.

-‘Guardianes de piedra’, a travelling exhibition which is promoted byMARQ will be stopping in Callosa del Segura (Alicante). Until 5th March, this travelling exhibition is a tribute to the more than 230 castles and fortresses in the province of Alicante. This exhibition can be visited until 25 March.
