‘eXhibition spaces’ kicks off its 20th edition of the UIC architecture workshop

Until 13 September, all 1st-5th year students at ESARQ, School of Architecture of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), are participating in the 20th edition of the Taller Vertical, which, this year is being celebrated under the title ‘eXhibition spaces’. This year’s objective is to build flexible and adaptable structures which can take on different forms and configurations to support different types of works. In order to achieve this objective, all of the architecture students will be divided up into teams and build five transportable display units, which are easy to assemble and to disassemble.

During the workshop the participants can count on the attendance of several speakers and specialists relating to the theme of each edition, who are in charge of selecting the proposals.

As recognition of the effort of these young architects, their works will be exhibited at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea of Barcelona (CCCB) and subsequently, the winning works will be displayed at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Catalunya (COAC).
