‘Ángel me dicen’, first academic seminars on Ángel González and his poetic generation

 

Between today and Friday 4 December , the Universidad de Oviedo hosts the 1st Academic Seminars on Ángel González and his Poetic Generation. The goal: to update our knowledge of this author from Oviedo via experts from various Spanish universities who will address aspects such as the literary commitment of González, the forms and fashioning of his poetry and his particular self-awareness of exile.

These first seminars are supported by the Banco Sabadell Foundation with the aim of promoting culture. These are academic sessions named ‘Ángel, me dicen’, which will take place at the Aula Rector Alas of the LAUDEO Centro Cultural de Extensión Universitaria and will offer a musical interlude Entre el amor y la sombra, a concerts with which Pablo Moro, Alfredo González and Pablo Texón, together with Álvaro Bárcena and Alejandro Blanco pay homage to the author of Palabra sobre palabra. The concert, to be performed for the last time in Asturias, will take place on Thursday 3, at 21.30, in the multipurpose Sala of the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe de Oviedo.
