42 social institutions have participated in the third edition of B-Value, the social innovation programme which we implemented together with Ship2B.

After 282 projects and receiving more than 100 official applications from social institutions all across Spain, the selection committee of the B-Value Innovation Programme, implemented by Banco Sabadell Foundation and Ship2B, has selected the 42 winning institutions participating in the first stage of this third edition.

Madrid won 17, Catalonia won 10, and these are the top two autonomous communities in terms of winning institutions, followed by Andalusia with 6, Galicia with 4, Castilla and Leon with 2, Navarra, Valencia and Aragon with 1. Whilst the winners with the highest representation are those working with intellectual disabilities, the risk of social exclusion, mental health and education and culture, amongst others.

Having overcome the pre-selection process, the first stage of the programme kicks off, where during 5 months the institutions receive training on innovation and the development of self-sustainable social projects, via a MOOC for social innovation, webinars with experts in areas of the third social sector, social innovation and entrepreneurship and a face to face workshop on Design Thinking in Barcelona and Madrid.
