‘Women Transforming the World’ a reflection on the reality faced by women

Until March 26th, La Cárcel_Segovia Centro de Creación, will be transformed into the centre stage for debate on the role of women.

For another year, the VII Encuentro ‘Mujeres que transforman el mundo’ (VII Encounter ‘Women Transforming the World’) converts Segovia into a central space for reflection, debate and denouncement of the reality faced by women in different parts of the world and in different areas. Each year this encounter brings together well known activists, many of whom have been awarded Príncipe de Asturias prizes for Cooperation, and Nobel Peace Prizes, as well as artists, literati, journalists and well known correspondents.

The objective of this encounter is to spark debate and to create a forum which is protagonised by women who are capable of transforming the lives of other persons through their proposals, challenging retrograde traditions, denouncing poverty, manipulation, challenging the future with their confidence and strength and searching for glimmers of hope and faith in a better world.
