How is the information explosion changing our world? ‘Big Bang Data’ comes to Prague

The exhibition has been held in Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, London and Singapore, and now the Big Bang Data exhibition comes to Prague’s DOX Centre for Contemporary Art to give us an answer to this question: how is the information explosion changing our world?

Through the work of artists, designers, innovators and thinkers, this exhibition explores this phenomenon which in the last five years has given rise to a general awareness of the academic and scientific fields, government agencies and cultural businesses which generate, process and above all interpret the data which is transforming society.

How much data do we generate on a daily basis? It is becoming increasingly easy to store and process large quantities of data to detect patterns such as behaviours, consumption, investments…. all through mobile phones, sensors, social networks, digital photography and videos, purchase transactions and GPS signals.
