Schedule for the weekend of 29 July: photography and music, recommended cultural events

Today, Friday, marks the end of the third edition of the Torroella de Mongrí Fringe Festival. Young talents from the world of music, selected from schools and conservatories, offer free concerts in different locations in Torroella until 10pm.

Another musical event this weekend is provided by Camerata JOL in a concert held this Sunday at 9pm at the Santa María de Aguilar de Campo Monastery in Palencia, as part of the ‘The stones sing’ (‘Las piedras cantan’) cycle.

Another exciting event is taking place in Barcelona, with the ‘Ramon Llull. The thinking machine’ exhibition, held at the Barcelona Centre of Contemporary Culture.

If you like photography, we recommend that you visit the ‘Vivian Maier. In Her Own Hands’ exhibition at FotoColectania. It shows images of the streets of New York and Chicago through the eyes of the world’s most famous nanny.

Another photography exhibition is being held in Galicia, with the ‘Rostros do país’ exhibition at the Cidade da Cultura, with 70 photos by photographer Xurxo Lobato.
