Schedule for the weekend of 24 March: photography, art and literature.

This weekend, we recommend that you visit the second UtopiaMarkets Photo which is being held at Utopia 126, a modernist factory which has been converted into a unique space in the Poblenou neighbourhood in Barcelona. The Utopia Markets Photo is an excellent opportunity to discover, get to know, chat with and buy unique material directly from the authors of quality photographs

In Olot, you can visit and participate in the fourth edition of the MOT Festival, a literature festival which, this year, focuses on the uses of the past in literature under the slogan ‘Escribir el pasado’. 42 authors will participate in literary conversations, as well as several literary performances and other street acts located throughout the cultural spaces in Olot.

Other recommendations for this weekend are located in Barcelona, Alicante and Segovia: at Foto Colectania Foundation you can visit ‘Fenómeno Fotolibros’ (Photobook fenomenon); and at the la Joan Miró Foundation you can visit the Autogestión exhibition, which reflects on contemporary art and the concept of DIY (do it yourself). In Segovia, this Sunday, 26th March, is the last day to visit the VII encuentro ‘Mujeres que transforman el mundo’ (Women transforming the world) which converts La Cárcel_Segovia Centro de Creación into the main stage for debate on the role of women. In Alicante, you can visit the IV edition of the Festival Internacional de Fotografía contemporánea PHOTOALICANTE. (International Festival of Contemporary Photography). This fair includes 17 exhibitions, 11 urban interventions, 6 workshops, 4 conferences, and up to 13 activities. The fair is open until 2nd April.
