Schedule for the weekend of 19 May: literature, video art, photography…and much more!

For this weekend, we propose a variety of cultural plans.

In Seville, Plaza Nueva is transformed into the capital of literature with the kick off of the Seville Book Fair, 2017 which includes more than 200 activities such as presentations, round table discussions, shows, exhibitions, book signings and workshops designed for all types of readers.

In Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona) you can visit the fifth edition of the analog photography festival ‘Revela-T’ in which you can visit more than 50 exhibitions by photographers and national and international gallerists, as well as participating in workshops, demonstrations or screenings.

With regard to video art, you can visit the LOOP festival in Barcelona which is located in more than 80 areas throughout the city, in which you can view a key selection of works and authors from the 70’s and the 80’s as a way of understanding current audiovisual production.

This Saturday, the Setba Foundation is organising ‘La plaza dibuja’ an activity which is open to the public, with the objective of filling the Plaza Real in Barcelona with members of the public who are equipped with pencils and paper, ready to sketch the different buildings in the plaza from different points of view. During this activity two competitions will be held: a prize will be given for the best amateur sketch and another prize will be given to the best photo of the day on Instagram.

For those of you who prefer to visit exhibitions, we recommend 7 exhibitions on contemporary art, photography and technology, click here for more information.
