ArsMálaga holds the first exhibition by Malaga-born sculptor Fernando Ortiz

Until 14th January 2018, ArsMálaga Palacio Episcopal will be holding the first exhibition by the artist, ‘Fernando Ortiz’, which includes a number of works of art by this 18th century sculptor, which it has acquired from the dioceses of Granada, Seville,Asidonia-Jerez, Cordoba, Cadiz, Ceuta and Jaen, as well as pieces from Malaga Cathedral, the Palacio Episcopal itself and other churches.
The sample includes over 30 sculptures, photographs of some of the artist’s most famous sculptures made for Malaga and towns in the region, such as the Virgen de la Soledad, the Virgen de la Paz and the Santo Entierro de la Hermandad de Escribanos y Procuradores de la iglesia de San Agustín.
