Taking classical music to a diverse audience

20 students from the Reina Sofía School of Music took part in the fourth edition of the ‘Musical Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation Programme’.

  • The Programme, which is part of the Master’s Degree in Music Performance, aims to provide music students with the tools and skills to develop their artistic career and to take classical music out into society.
  • The students, divided into 6 groups, created innovative projects: ‘Breaking ground’, ‘Dancing music’, ‘Smells and tastes of Jerez’, ‘Neighbourhood art’, ‘Purple’ and ‘Palo Santo’.

“The Innovation and Entrepreneurship programme teaches our students that, if they really want to, they can be a lot more creative than they thought possible in the artistic, social and technology fields”

Julia Sánchez, Director General of the Reina Sofía School of Music.
