Scheduled events for the weekend of 7 October: photojournalism, history and philosophy

This weekend the Museo Colonia Vidal, in Berguedà (Barcelona) is organising the IV workshops on industrial colonies. Under the theme ‘Migrations” different cultural and artistic activities have been organised for all ages and audiences: guided tours, historic walks, conferences, debates.

In Palafrugell (Gerona) these are the last few days to visit the IX edición de la Bienal de Fotografía Xavier Miserachs exhibitions, a cultural event on documentary photography and photojournalism.

Another event related to journalism is being held in Madrid with World Press Photo Madrid, where 155 of the best photos on events which occurred last year can be seen. The exhibition can be visited at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) until 1 November.

In Barcelona, the ‘Ramón Llull. La máquina de pensar’ exhibitioon is still open. It explores the impact of the philospher on arts, literature, science and technology. It can be visited at Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona. Lastly, in Xixona (Alicante) you can visit ‘Guardianes de Piedra. Castillos de Alicante’ a travelling exhibition held by MARQ which can be visited until October 30.
