Schedule for the weekend 4 November: theatre, urban art and music

For today, Friday, theatre is one of our main cultural proposals. The actors and actresses of La Kompanyia Lliure will be performing two plays at Teatre Lliure in Montjuïc: ‘In Memoriam. La quinta del biberó’ and their recently debuted ‘Revolta de bruixes’.

Tomorrow, Saturday, you can visit the III edition of ‘Ús Barcelona’, the festival for art and public spaces, which this year is being celebrated in the old Can Ricart factory in Poblenou. During the whole day, from 10am until 11pm you can attend workshops, conferences, listen to live music and shop at the art market…

We also have a musical proposal for you, tomorrow there is a new concert as part of the Festival Internacional Orgues de Poblet, with a concert at 20:30, by the duo Olivier Vernet and Cédric Meckler.

It is also the last weekend to visit Espai 13 at Fundación Joan Miró where you can visit the exhibition “Fiction is reality waiting to happen” by Ana Garcia-Pineda, which kicks off the One Foot Out programme of exhibitions Expeditions and Diasporas’.

In Barcelona, you can also visit the ‘Tree of life’ exhibition at  Centro Cívico Urgell until 24 November, where you can see different images of the scientific work carried out by the Centro de Regulación Genómica (CRG) [Centre for Genomic Regulation], from the smallest elements such as molecules, tissues and organs up to live organisms.

And for those of you who have a preference for photography, we highly recommend that you visit the headquarters of Foto Colectania and visit the exhibition “I wanted to be a photographer”, which gathers together 11 projects through which you can reflect upon the role of photography in today’s society.
